Brett Irvine: Financial Planner, and the Darling of the Darling Downs
Like the mountainous city he has always called home, Brett is a strong and steady Financial Planner. Interestingly, Brett is not only studious, but very sporty. Was he not always in Finance?

Brought up in Toowoomba, Brett loved sport and the outdoors. His height and hard work served him well at Downlands College. Rugby, cricket and tennis had Brett’s heart at this time, before Marissa was on the scene.

Ready to fly the nest, Brett studied a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of New England (UNE), graduating in 1997. Around this time he married the lovely Marissa, and worked in Queensland Health, Sports and Recreation Department, and advised sporting clubs. Sport was his whole career!

Especially in his early adulthood, Brett adventured around the globe. Once a upon a time, pre-Covid-19, he was able to see the sights of Europe and Asia. Imagine taking your wife to Spain for her 40th Birthday! Now, instead of quesadillas in Barcelona, Brett takes his family on road trips to the north coast of Queensland, or ventures south to Coffs Harbour. Fish and chips are tasty, too.

Travelling with his family is a very Brett thing – on Saturdays, he takes his son to his cricket of rugby games. Or his daughter to her soccer or cricket matches. Both children happily attend Downlands, just like their father did.

Thankfully for us, and for our clients, Marissa booked and took Brett along to see a Financial Planner. Soon after, Brett started studying to be a Financial Planner, whilst working. And in 2008, he made it. He has been a careful and passionate Adviser ever since.
Brett’s working week can get busy, but you would not guess it. His manner is always relaxed, always ready to listen and kind. He is here to care for the good people of Highfields to Middle Ridge to Rangeville.
A local mountain man, a trusted Adviser and an attentive listener – this is Brett.
