I founded JEM Wealth because I wanted to make a REAL difference in the lives of my clients. I want to help my clients make the critical decisions about their money in line with their purpose in life and be an ongoing sounding board and guide for them.
With a background in the Australian Army and as a secondary school teacher, I joined the financial services industry in 2006, initially as an Accountant. I soon realised that I couldn’t make the impact I wanted to on people’s lives with tax advice and went on to get my qualifications as a financial adviser.
I am a regular guest speaker at the University of Southern Queensland. Through my involvement with First Light Widowed Association Inc, I provide financial advice to new widows. And I am proud to work with Interserve Australia and Australia Missionary Tidings (AMT) to assist mission workers with their financial planning.
Outside of work, my wife Joy and I are kept busy with our seven daughters. My family and I are actively involved in the girls’ school (Somerville House), our local church (Salisbury Baptist Church), and the South West Metro Pirates Basketball Association.
I love sports, being an ex PE teacher, and enjoy nothing more than attempting to swing at the little white round ball and shoot hoops regularly with my daughters and old teammates.
